Food in Thailand

I love food, and part of my excitement for Thailand is to explore the Food markets.

Whilst in Thailand, I took the opportunity to go on a cooking course, there are so many and so many good ones. Ask the hotel/hostel that you are at to book yourself on one. They are a fantastic way to meet people as well as get to learn about the local cuisine and produce.

The Second most useful website I have come across, which made me extremely excited about Thai food is Nomadic Matt’s “Best Thai Dishes”

  • Spring Rolls
  • Chicken Soup
    thaifood6
  • Mango Sticky Rice
    thaifood9
  • Kai Joew – Fried omelette
    kai joew
  • Banana Pancakes.
  • Green or Red Thai Curry.
  • Char Siew Bun – They serve a similar version of this in PingPong, one of my favourite restaurants in London.

Other things to try are deep fried crickets, scorpions.
